The Commissioner of State CET Cell, has been designated as Competent Authority for conducting MHT-CET and selection of candidates for admission to Under Graduate Degree courses in Engineering and Technology . The rules regarding the eligibility, admission process, preparation of merit list, selection of candidate, various quotas shall be notified by the State Government .

Admission process for Government and Private Engineering/Pharmacy Colleges in Maharashtra.
Government and Private Engineering Colleges of Maharashtra will give admissions on the basis of a student’s performance in the Maharashtra common entrance test i.e. MHT-CET (PCM).

The Paper will be based on Physics, Chemistry and Maths for ENGG.

For pharma one can give CET based on Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

For PCM MHT-CET question paper consists of 50 questions on Physics, 50 questions on Chemistry and 50 questions on Mathematics.

Each question of Physics and Chemistry carries 1 mark whereas each question of Mathematics carries 2 marks. There is no negative marking.

For PCB MHT-CET question paper consists of 50 questions on Physics, 50 questions on Chemistry and 100 questions on Biology. Each question carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking.
